The market for bridges is currently undergoing a change, with wood becoming a more accepted alternative in the choice of building materials. The wooden bridges of today offer the same standard of performance and technical lifespan as bridges made of steel and/or concrete, both in the form of pedestrian bridges and advanced overpasses, designed to accommodate heavy vehicle traffic.

Martinsons has manufactured bridges since 1987, with its capacity being furher increased when Svenska Träbroar was incorporated into the company in 1997. As the Nordic region's leading producer of wooden bridges Martinsons has an important role to play in the development of the next generation of bridges. Martinsons not only supplies the largest number of bridges, but also built up a market-leading, in-house development division with a high degree of technical competence; experienced bridge specialists who have been instrumental in the work which has take wooden bridges to where they are today.
