Truss girder bridges have an upper frame and subframe constructed of glulam plus compression struts and stays in steel. The road surface is made of boards attached to transverse beams or a waterproofing membrane with an upper layer of asphalt. Dimensioning and surface treatment are executed in accordance with the current Swedish bridge standard and the service life is 40 years. Truss girder bridges are suitable for spans of more than 15-20 metres and up to 30 metres.
